As News Center 7 previously reported, Alexa Staley died last week when she jumped onto the hood of her SUV as thieves tried to drive away with her son sleeping in the back seat.

Her brother, Hayden Swartz, spoke to our news partner WBNS in Columbus and called her sister “an incredible mother.”

“She was an incredibly amazing person who had a heart for children, loved teaching children, was a speech therapist and was just brilliant at her job,” he said.

Swartz hopes the suspects will turn themselves in.

“Do what is right,” he told WBNS. “Justice must prevail and people must learn that there are laws in this community and in this world.”
