Channel 4 has not commented on the program change – Digital Spy reached out for comment – some viewers had theories about the reasons for the last-minute reshuffle and shared their thoughts on Twitter/X.

One person who pointed out that there is a scene in the episode with a shooter on a roof noted, “Just to add that Jebediah Springfield’s attempt to kill George Washington is also a major plot point in the episode, so it could be that it was cut because of that without anyone remembering that particular sniper scene.”

“Great job to whoever made the decision, but it’s crazy that they chose this episode. The simpsons“The strange coincidences continue…” wrote another user, referring to the animated series’ history of eerie and often spooky predictions.

Speak with Digital Spy in 2022, The simpsons Executive producer Al Jean noted that the show has gotten some bizarre predictions right in the three decades it has been on the air.

“The bad thing for the world, but the good thing for us, is that there are always new problems and things that need to be addressed. We will continue to deal with them,” he said.

“I think the most important thing – just because the show has been running for so long – is that we talked about climate change in the first three episodes. And now it’s really becoming obvious to everyone.”

“I don’t think anyone listened to us, but at least we talked about it!”

The simpsons Season 35 is currently airing Sunday nights on FOX in the US. Seasons 1-34 are currently streaming on Disney+ In the United Kingdom.
