Dansville man arrested after chase and accident in Batavia

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – A Dansville man is facing multiple charges after a chase ended in a crash in Batavia early Sunday morning.

Genesee County Sheriff’s officials said they attempted to stop 25-year-old Dandre Cramer on Main Street just before 2 a.m. He allegedly took off and led officers on a chase through city streets at 90 mph before crashing at the corner of School St. and Swan St.

He got out and ran, but was eventually arrested. Officers said they found a defaced, loaded handgun in his car.

Cramer faces numerous charges, including resisting prosecution and several counts of illegal possession of a firearm, including one count of possession of a firearm despite having a prior conviction.
