Accident: College student dies in accident while fleeing cow attack | News from Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A student trying to escape a cow attack died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Kovaipudur on Friday. The deceased has been identified as S Janani, 18, of Perur Chettipalayam. She was a second-year student at a private college in Kovaipudur. At around 4 pm, after classes, she was walking towards the bus stop near the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Kovaipudur. A herd of cows was roaming the area and one suddenly attacked Janani. She ran towards the road to escape but was hit by a speeding motorcycle and sustained severe head injuries. Locals took her to a private hospital where she was given first aid and referred to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH). However, she was declared dead. Police have sent her body for post-mortem. The Traffic Investigation Wing (TIW-West) of the city police has registered a case and is investigating further. TNN
