PlayStation’s Bloodborne listed for PS5, but almost certainly by accident

Bloodborne fans were lured again.

PlayStation has officially listed Blood transfused for PlayStation 5 consoles in a move that is likely coincidental. Since the launch of the PS5 in 2020, fans have been clamoring Blood transfused either updated or reworked for the current consoles. Until now, PlayStation has not fulfilled these requests, but that has not stopped them from pouring in almost constantly. Now PlayStation has taken a new step Blood transfused for PS5, but it almost certainly means nothing.

As PlayStation Lifestyle reports, Bloodborne only DLC with the title The old hunterswas recently listed for PS5. However, the location where this happened was a bit strange. Instead of appearing in the PlayStation Store this way, Bloodborne: The Old Hunters is set to be available on PS5 via PlayStation Stars. For those unfamiliar, PS Stars is a rewards program that’s part of the PlayStation app. Here, members can earn points through their PS Store purchases, which they can then exchange for cash or full game downloads. The old hunters recently became one such title that could be redeemed for 5,000 points on PS Stars, and when it was added, it was said that it would be coming to PS5.

So is there even the slightest chance that this mention of Blood transfused for PS5 on PlayStation Stars could indicate that the game is getting a native upgrade for the platform? Well, possibly. But in all likelihood, this is nothing more than a simple mistake that someone working at PlayStation happened to make. At the time of writing, there is no native PS5 update, remaster, or remake of Blood transfused that’s what happened. That could still change in the future, but it doesn’t look like PlayStation is pushing to make that a reality anytime soon.

As for PlayStation Stars itself, the service was recently down for almost a month in June and July. However, Sony has recently fixed the issues and made the platform available again in each region. PS Stars is not back online in North America yet, but it probably shouldn’t be down for much longer.
