Wisconsin man drowns in swimming accident at private pond | News

BOSCOBEL, Wis. (KWWL) – A Wisconsin man died in a drowning accident at a private pond Tuesday evening.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a swimming incident that occurred at a private pond in Marion Township.

According to reports, 21-year-old Aaron King of the Boscobel area was swimming with some friends in a private pond on a farm when he began to have difficulty staying afloat.

After unsuccessfully attempting to rescue King and bring him to shore, the other swimmers flagged down a passerby to notify the Grant County Communications Center.

Upon arrival, first responders attempted to locate King, but were also unsuccessful.

King was then recovered from the pond by members of the Boscobel and Rural Fire Department shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday evening.
