Stay Ahead of the Storm’s Impact in the Houston Area with These Tools from KPRC 2

HOUSTON – Hurricane and tropical storm warnings have been issued along the Texas Gulf Coast as Beryl moves closer to landfall. The storm is expected to make landfall near Matagorda Bay, Seadrift or Port Lavaca early Monday morning.

From weather alerts and warnings to hour-by-hour forecasts, road conditions and preparations to make at home or in the office, here’s how KPRC 2 can help you and your family stay ahead of the storm.

Flood monitoring

KPRC Flood Tracker (KPRC2/Click2Houston.com)

KPRC 2 has partnered with the Harris County Flood Control District to better serve our community during severe weather events.

Whenever there is significant rainfall in the Houston area, you can see exactly which neighborhoods are experiencing the greatest impact at Click2Houston.com/floodtracker.

Our expert meteorologists have flood gauge maps that they use to illustrate current conditions. When all the gauges are green, we are in good shape. When the gauges start to turn yellow and red, the water is rising. This is a simple, visual way to see when and where people and property are most at risk from flooding.
