Lake Houston water levels will be lowered at 4 a.m. on July 7 due to the expected impact of Tropical Storm Beryl

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Due to the expected impact of Tropical Storm Beryl, Houston Public Works announced that the level of Lake Houston will be temporarily lowered by 12 inches on Saturday.

On Sunday, the descent will begin at 4 a.m.

The Department of Public Works estimates that lowering the level of Lake Houston by 30 cm will take about 20 hours. In addition, the lake level will drop by up to 12.6 metres.
