Man found dead in Marquette Park lagoon

A 30-year-old man was found dead in the lagoon at Marquette Park on Thursday morning, Chicago police said.

According to police, he was spotted unconscious in the water near the 3300 block of West Redfield Drive around 9:40 a.m. C

Divers from the PD’s marine unit pulled him out of the water and his death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

The circumstances were initially unclear. An autopsy was expected for Friday.
