A Tulsa man is free on bail after police say he received nearly $1 million in fraudulent checks.

According to police, the cause was that a company had received an email with updated banking information from another company.

Officials said the company discovered that the email had been hacked and the account actually belonged to Bryan Wilson.

They say Wilson transferred the money to several different bank accounts, transferred about $200,000 to cryptocurrency accounts and withdrew the rest.

According to police, several bank representatives identified Wilson as the account holder during a lineup.

The officers arrested him for obtaining money under false pretenses.
