Houston police: officers involved in accident and theft

The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between June 24 and June 30, the Houston Police Department responded to 173 calls for service and initiated 13 traffic stops resulting in eight citations and 13 warnings.

  • On June 24, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 63 near First Street. Both parties initially left the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
  • On June 25, officers responded to Walmart for a theft investigation. Officers cited Elizabeth D. Heiney, 29, of Houston, and Judy K. Dodd, 72, of Houston, for theft under $750 (shoplifting).
  • On June 27, officers responded to Chestnut Street for a reported property damage. The suspects were using a pellet gun to shoot at light poles. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On June 29, officers cited Lisa M. Young, 59, of St. Louis, for driving with a suspended license.
  • On June 30, officers arrested Crystal D. Pickens, 40, of Springfield, on two active Cabool municipal warrants for no insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle. Pickens was transported to the Texas County Jail on both warrants, which had a total bond of $500.
