StormTracker 4 alert: Monsoon storms to increase tomorrow | Weather

STORMTRACKER 4 ALARM – Today we are in ALARM because tomorrow is a StormTracker 4 ALARM DAY due to increased monsoon storms.

Although today will be much calmer than yesterday, the chances of monsoon thunderstorms and flash flooding increase significantly tomorrow and tomorrow evening. Tucson is showing a 6 on our Monsoon Forecast Index during the day before being upgraded to a 7 tomorrow evening, making the risk of thunderstorms extremely high for tomorrow.

Storm chances will continue into the work week and last through July 4. Our latest models show an MPI of 4 for the 4th, so you should prepare for a stormy Independence Day.

Increasing humidity and wind will cause temperatures to drop slightly over the next few days. We’ll see highs between 100 and 104 degrees Celsius over the next seven days.

  • Today: Mostly sunny, 20% chance of rain. High: 100°
  • Tonight: Increasing clouds, 30% chance of rain. Lowest temperature: 80°
  • Tomorrow: Showers and thunderstorms likely, 60% chance. High: 104°
