Valley Head man arrested for murder

VALLEY HEAD, Alabama (WHNT) – A Valley Head man has been charged with murder, according to DeKalb County jail records.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) inmate roster, James Michael Howard Jr. was booked into the DeKalb County Jail Tuesday night and charged with public intoxication and murder.

According to court documents, the murder occurred around 7 a.m. Tuesday, and he was arrested shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

News 19 has reached out to the DCSO for more information on the reasons for the charges against Howard, but has not yet received a response.
