First weather warning: More humidity and some rain return on Wednesday

ROCHESTER, NY — A warm front passing through will bring a noticeable difference in humidity Tuesday night and Wednesday. Dew points will rise to 15 to 20 degrees. Tuesday night’s few showers should be gone by morning, but humidity will be higher. The first half of Wednesday should be dry, but the afternoon and evening will see a higher chance for some showers, with thunderstorm chances highest south of Rochester. If you’re planning on attending a jazz festival on Wednesday night, bring an umbrella or raincoat, as some showers are forecast.

A cold front moving through Wednesday night will bring temperatures and humidity down towards the end of the week, with much more pleasant and dry weather and sunshine on Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, the dry weather will not last into the weekend. Another system will bring some showers and perhaps intermittent thunderstorms on Saturday, followed by morning showers on Sunday. Hopefully we can clear things up by Sunday afternoon. That will take a few more days, so we’ll keep you posted.
