Showers are currently moving southeast through the Atlanta metropolitan area ahead of a cold front. These showers will continue to move south throughout the morning, with dry weather expected in the Atlanta metropolitan area by 7 a.m.

More warmth

After our morning showers, dry air will move in this afternoon, bringing sunny skies and pushing maximum temperatures back up to over 30 degrees. There will be no improvement in the heat this week, with maximum temperatures expected to remain above 35 degrees.

It will remain dry from this afternoon until Wednesday, with a slight chance of rain from Thursday and over the weekend.
