Fatal accident in Cimarron County

The fatal accident occurred around 3:09 a.m. Saturday morning on OK-325 and N0130 Rd, about eleven miles north of Felt, OK, in Cimarron County.

A 2002 Ford Escape driven by Mark Jeffrey Roberts, 64, of Kenton, OK., was traveling eastbound on OK-325 when he attempted to avoid a cow in the road. Roberts turned left, rejoined the eastbound lane, veered right off the road, struck a dirt embankment, rolled one and a half times, and came to rest on top of the embankment. He was not injured.

A passenger in Roberts’ vehicle, Kathy Lynn Roberts, 65 years old, also of Kenton, OK, was transported by Boise City EMS to
Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma, where she was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the collision.
