Live: Partial Tube services suspended and facing significant delays as London Overground service cancelled at London Euston

Two London Underground lines were partially closed ahead of rush hour this morning (Thursday 20 June). The Bakerloo line was closed between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to a signalling and power failure.

According to Transport for London, Network Rail engineers are fixing the problem at Queen’s Park. London Underground ticket holders can continue to travel on London buses. There will be minor delays on the rest of the route.

Due to the same problem, a power outage, the London Overground has also been partially suspended between Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford Junction. TfL says good service is being maintained on the rest of the Overground network.

National Rail wrote in an update: “A fault in the overhead power rail between Watford Junction and London Euston is causing disruption to London Overground services between these stations. Trains may be cancelled, diverted or delayed by up to 20 minutes.”

There were significant delays on the Metropolitan Line southbound between Wembley Park and Aldgate due to the delayed completion of construction works, but normal services have now resumed.
