Motorcyclist dead after accident in Mount Prospect

MOUNT PROSPECT, Illinois – A motorcyclist died in an accident in Mount Prospect Sunday evening.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Algonquin Road and Dearborn Court.

The motorcyclist, identified as Przemyslaw Sztafa, 51, was found on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of a Mercedes sedan as it turned left onto Dearborn Court.

The driver of the Mercedes was not injured.
