Man shoots, kills Alief apartment invader, HPD says

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A man who broke into another man’s apartment with a gun was shot and killed by the victim in southwest Houston, police said.

It happened Wednesday at an apartment complex in Wilcrest, near Beechnut, in Alief.

Police said a second man was with them and acted as a lookout before fleeing.

HPD says they don’t have motive, and it’s unclear how seriously injured the apartment owner is at this time.
