Man arrested after chase at Lincoln D’Leon’s drive-in, police say

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday after chasing a vehicle at the drive-thru of a north Lincoln restaurant, police said.

At around 11:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to D’Leon’s near 27th and Dudley Streets for a report of a disturbance.

A witness reported that 25-year-old Erick Hernandez rushed to his vehicle while placing an order at the drive-thru.

According to police, Hernandez then chased his vehicle as he drove away. Another witness said Hernandez had a knife on him.

Officers found Hernandez in a nearby alley.

According to police, Hernandez ignored officers’ orders and reached into his pockets.

Hernandez then attempted to enter a vehicle and was shocked by an officer with a taser, according to police.

He was arrested on several charges, including obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest.
