Man dies of gunshot wounds and car accident after car theft

JACKSON, Mississippi (WLBT) – A murder and carjacking occurred in the 300 block of Flag Chapel Road Tuesday.

According to Jackson Police, investigators learned that the victim, Quintavious McCray, had stolen a car and was subsequently shot.

McCray crashed the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

JPD did not provide a time frame for the incident.
