Police: Suspects stole a snack and attacked an employee

TOLEDO, Ohio – Police are investigating a robbery in north Toledo that was reported Tuesday evening.

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the 800 block of Walnut Street for a robbery at the Walnut Carryout after 9:30 p.m. Police spoke with an employee who told officers he encountered an unknown suspect who allegedly stole items from the store.

The suspect and an accomplice then allegedly attacked the employee and fled on foot.

The employee suffered minor injuries, police described in the report, and refused medical treatment.

The police are continuing to investigate.
