Gujarat government suspends Valsad district tax collector

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has suspended Ayush Sanjeev Oak, IAS, the tax collector of Valsad district.

The Sachivalaya order states: “Disciplinary proceedings are contemplated against Shri Aayush Sanjeev Oak, IAS (RR:GJ:2011), Collector of Taxes, Valsad, for serious negligence which has resulted in a situation of great financial loss to the State exchequer while handling tax matters at Surat during his tenure as Collector of Taxes, Surat from 23.06.2021 to 01.02.2024.

THEREFORE, the Government of Gujarat under the powers conferred on it by clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the All India Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1969, suspends Shri Aayush Sanjeev Oak, IAS, with immediate effect.”
