One dead in road rage shooting in Carroll County

(Carroll County, Kentucky) – One person was killed in a road rage shooting in Carroll County Saturday night.

The preliminary investigation shows that two vehicles exited Interstate 71 at Exit 43 in Carroll County. One of the drivers involved in the incident spoke to dispatch at the time. The caller reported that the other driver displayed a firearm.

After exiting the interstate, both vehicles initially traveled on KY 389 before the incident escalated and gunfire rang out.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved, later identified as Daniel Shouse of Carrollton, was shot by the driver of the other vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
