Kangana reposted a tweet suggesting that the CISF officer’s act could be politically motivated, writing, “This makes the most sense to me. She strategically waited for me to come in her way and then in her typical Khalistani style, quietly came from behind and slapped me in the face without saying a word. When I asked her why she did this, she looked away and started talking into the cellphone cameras pointed at her (as can be seen in her videos), suddenly drawing public attention. The farm laws have been repealed and they no longer affect anyone, probably this was her way of jumping on the Khalistani bandwagon of winning important political seats in Punjab.”

Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF policeman while on her way to Delhi to attend a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) scheduled for tomorrow.

What’s new about the incident?

Taking cognizance of the incident, Chandigarh Superintendent of Police (Detective) KS Sandhu arrived at Chandigarh airport and met a CISF officer regarding the Kangana Ranaut incident.

“The CISF commander has called me. I am going to the airport for investigation. I will inform the CISF commander,” said KS Sandhu.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured that action would be taken against the accused.

“The investigation is on and action will be taken against the accused. It is sad that a person related to security is involved in this. Whatever happened, it was wrong,” the Haryana chief minister said.

Following the incident, Ranaut asked on her social media account how the growing “extremism” and “terrorism” in Punjab could be stopped.

“I am safe. I am perfectly fine. The incident took place during the security check. After I was done with the security check, a woman CISF constable was waiting for me to go through the booth. Later, she came from the side, slapped me on the face and started abusing me,” Ranaut said in a post on ‘X’.

“When I asked her why she did this, she told me that she (the CISF officer) had supported the farmers’ protests. My (Kangana) question is how can we put an end to the growing extremism and terrorism in Punjab,” the BJP leader added.

Meanwhile, the CISF police officer said her mother was among the farmers who staged a sit-in against the now-repealed agricultural laws.

“She explained that the farmers are sitting there, 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there protesting when she made that statement…” she said.

The farmers’ protest, which lasted 15 months, was directed, among other things, against the (now repealed) agricultural laws.
