First weather warning: Cooler breeze with isolated showers on Friday

ROCHESTER, NY – A series of cold fronts will continue to move through the area over the next 24 hours, lowering our temperatures and humidity, as well as bringing intermittent rain. The details: Aside from a few isolated showers Thursday night, we’ll see partly cloudy skies with more comfortable temperatures for sleeping.

There will be a noticeable breeze on Friday that will continue to bring in cooler and drier air, with dew points dropping to 10 degrees. With the cooler air, we will see isolated showers as the day warms. The most widespread showers will occur from midday to early evening before the showers fizzle out. There may be isolated thunderstorms or heavy downpours.

Rain will be intermittent over the weekend, but Saturday looks to be the drier of the two days. Saturday could be mostly dry, with a mix of clouds and sun, but still a cool breeze. Another disturbance aloft could bring a higher chance of showers and wetter weather on Sunday. We’ll see this weather pattern continue into next week, with the air becoming progressively drier and warmer as the week progresses.
