Fort Wayne Police Department SWAT units and heavy police presence north of downtown

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A heavy police presence can be seen north of downtown, including SWAT units from the Fort Wayne Police Department.

The dispatch center confirms an active investigation around 11 a.m. with a heavy police presence on St. Marys Ave. and Margaret Ave.

A WANE 15 crew on scene observed officers using a flash grenade to scare off the suspect. They also noticed numerous SWAT units and Fort Wayne police officers.
