When will debris be collected in Houston? View the map

HOUSTON — Are you waiting for storm debris to be collected? The city has launched an interactive map that can help you determine when this will happen.

The Derecho storm on May 16 damaged homes throughout the Houston area, leaving residents with lots of debris. In fact, the city says about 1.5 million cubic yards of debris are the result of the storm. For perspective, they say that’s enough to fill half of NRG Stadium.

The city of Houston rolled out an interactive map Friday that it says can show areas where collections have taken place and where the city says they will take place over the next two days.

Recent storms have broken windows and toppled trees, creating massive debris in some areas of our city. @HoustonTrash has launched a new storm debris collection progress tracker to keep you informed when debris collectors will be in your neighborhood.
