New tenant for former Gander Mountain store

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A national self-storage company is expanding its local presence.

CubeSmart (NYSE: CUBE), a self-managed real estate company focused on acquiring, owning, operating and developing self-storage facilities across the United States, recently opened a location at 880 Young St. in Tonawanda .

The building, a former Gander Mountain store that has been vacant for years, sits next to Tops Friendly Markets.

This is CubeSmart’s second location in the Buffalo area, with the first located at 5725 S. Transit Road in Lockport.

The self-storage company has more than 1,500 facilities nationwide, including 52 in New York state, according to its website.
