POLICE REPORTS: DISTURBANCE OF PUBLIC CONTROL, DRIVING WHILE VEHICLE ACCESS RELIEF FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Clymer Police

Earlier this week, a Clymer man was arrested for disturbing the peace. Police were called to a home in the 200 block of Hancock Street at 2:28 p.m. on Monday. When they arrived, the victim complained that around 12:30 p.m. a man named Eric Sinclair, 43, approached her for no reason and threatened her. Sinclair was standing on a public sidewalk at the time, but left the home when asked to do so and continued to yell at the victim. Half an hour later, Sinclair returned, pulled into the driveway and attempted to fight with one of the victims. Again, he left the home without being asked to do so. A disturbance charge was filed with District Judge Christopher Welch’s office.

A Clymer man was caught by police driving while his license was suspended. Police said they stopped an SUV in a parking lot near the intersection of Franklin and 6th streets at 6:54 p.m. on May 20 for an expired registration sticker. The driver, identified as 30-year-old William Rettinger, was not only driving with an expired sticker, but his license was suspended for drunk driving and he did not have insurance on the vehicle. A criminal complaint was filed with District Judge Christopher Welch for repeat offender, driving while suspended for drunk driving and several misdemeanors.
