Israel’s Prime Minister describes deadly attack in Rafah as a “tragic incident”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that a deadly attack on a refugee camp in the Rafah Gaza Strip was a “tragic incident” that his government was “investigating.”

“In Rafah, we evacuated one million innocent residents and despite our best efforts, a tragic incident occurred yesterday (Sunday),” Netanyahu told parliament, adding: “We are investigating the case and will draw the conclusions” after Gaza officials reported 45 people were killed when the Israeli attack sparked a fire.
