Man dies in rollover accident in Shirley on Sunday evening: Police

SHIRLEY, NY — A Farmingville man was killed in a car crash in Shirley Sunday evening, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the cash payment occurred around 10:15 p.m. on William Floyd Parkway, north of Robinwood Drive.

Iran Palmer, 38, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q50 southbound on William Floyd Parkway when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck a metal guardrail and rolled several times, police said.

Palmer’s death was pronounced at the scene by a medical examiner’s assistant with the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said. The Infiniti was impounded for a safety inspection.
