Several social media users, mostly locals and storm chasers, posted videos of the tornado in Eddyville. They also urged Crider residents to “seek shelter” as soon as possible.

“Dusk has fallen on Kentucky, bringing with it a #tornado emergency of bizarre, terrifying proportions. A massive, catastrophic, inky black twister is moments away from tearing apart Crider and White Sulphur, KY with deadly force. TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY! If you are in the path of this storm, your life is in extreme danger,” said one person on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter.
