Man arrested and charged after robbing two banks in Apopka

A man was arrested for robbing two Fifth Third Banks in Apopka, Apopka police said. The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Taylor Cale Mizelle. According to authorities, a robbery occurred at the Fifth Third Bank, 1725 S Orange Blossom Trail, shortly after noon on Monday.

The armed suspect entered the bank and ordered employees to open the cash drawer. According to APD, no one was injured in the incident.

Through their investigative efforts, Apopka officers were able to identify the suspect and obtain a search warrant for his home.

Apopka officials said the suspect confessed to the May 20 robbery of the Fifth Third Bank and another bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank on May 8.

Mizelle is currently incarcerated in the Orange County Jail and is charged with two bank robberies at the Fifth Third Bank in Apopka.
