AT MY HOME. IT’S REAL. YES, IT IS. BUT, YOU KNOW, IT’S GOING TO BE A LITTLE TRICKY THIS WEEKEND. RUNNING OUT SOME RAIN AND STORMS. BUT OVERALL, WE STILL HAVE SOME SPOTS OF RAIN, EVEN SOME SIGNIFICANT ROLL OF THUNDER. SOME LIGHTNING STRIKES DOWN THERE NEAR MORGANTOWN. AND IT’S GOING TO CONTINUE. THERE’S A CHANCE OF SOME LIGHTNING STRIKES TODAY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 70. A LITTLE IN THE NORTHERN PARTS OF SOMERSET. SOUTHERN CAMBRIA, JUST SOUTH OF JOHNSTOWN. BUT OVERALL, MANY OF US ARE SEEING THOSE CLOUDS STARTING TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES AND WE’LL SEE THAT SUNSHINE INTO THE AFTERNOON. BUT WHEN I LOOK AT OUR THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK, THERE’S A SINGLE RISK OF A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPING ON SATURDAY, WHICH MEANS SOME STRONG GUSTS OF WIND, POTENTIALLY EVEN SOME SMALL HAIL. SO WE’VE PROMOTED SATURDAY TO BE A WARNING DAY. I REALLY THINK MANY OF US WILL STAY DRY THROUGHOUT THE MORNING AND MOST OF THE AFTERNOON. AS IT GETS LATER INTO THE EVENING, SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL BRING IN. SO WE’LL LOOK AT THE FUTURE VIEWS HERE. LIKE I SAID, YOU CAN STILL SEE A SHOWER PASSING SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 70 AROUND 12 PM. THAT INCLUDES WASHINGTON, GREENE, FAYETTE AND SOMERSET, BUT ALL IN ALL, MOST OF US WILL HAVE MOST SUNNY SKIES BY THE END. MOST CLEAR AS WE GO INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. LOOKS GREAT TO START, A LITTLE FOG FROM THE RIVER VALLEY THAT WILL WORK UP AS FAR AS WASHINGTON INTO ALLEGHENY COUNTY AND EXTENDS TO NEAR BUTLER. BUT WE’LL HAVE THOSE SUNSHINE CLOUDS THAT GET THICKER. A SINGLE SHOWER WOULDN’T SEEM TO BE ANYTHING OF SIGNIFICANCE. AROUND 12 PM. BUT IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING AFTER 4 PM WE’LL SEE SOME OF THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS FUEL UP AS THIS FRONT MOVES THROUGH. WE’LL START AROUND SIX 7 AM IN BUTLER AND BEAVER AND MOVE INTO AND AROUND ALLEGHENY, WASHINGTON AND WESTMORELAND AROUND 8:30 AM 9 AM. SO JUST AS WE’RE APPROACHING SUNSET. SO REMEMBER IT’S A GOOD TIME TO GET OUR WTAE APP AS WE’LL SEND YOU ALERTS IF SEVERE WEATHER IS HAPPENING IN YOUR AREA. SO I WOULDN’T LET IT TURN YOUR PLANS FOR THE TRIP, BUT OVERALL, YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE WEATHER, IT’S PROBABLY GOING TO BE VERY NICE UNTIL SUNDAY. SO IT MAY BE ALL DAY LONG, JUST A LITTLE MORE CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE TIMING OF THAT MAY STILL CHANGE, BUT IN THE EYE IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE GOING TO EXPERIENCE A WAVE OF RAIN AFTER 8:00 AM AND SOME STORMS PASSING THROUGH. IN THE EYE IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL NOT BE HEAVY, BUT TOWARDS MEMORIAL DAY IT WILL HAVE MORE WIDESPREAD RAIN. SO WE HAVE TO EXPECT SOME RAIN SHOWERS AT ALL MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES IN HONOR OF OUR SOLDIERS AND MEN ON MONDAY MORNING. BUT OVERALL IT’S ALWAYS PRETTY CALM IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH. THERE ARE ALSO SOME OF THOSE HIGH CLOUDS OF PITTSBURGH TO THE SOUTH AND EAST: 66 IN PITTSBURGH, 59 WAKE UP IN BUTLER, 55 IN NEW CASTLE AND BEAVER, 60 IN GREENSBURG. WAYNESBURG AT 57. WE’LL GET UP TODAY AT ONLY 27 COLD. THERE WILL BE SOME CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON, BUT MOSTLY SUNSHINE AND AROUND 27 COLD. For us, Saturday is a warning day with a chance of some of these storms turning fierce, warm and humid in the late afternoon and evening, with storms overnight after sunset on Sunday and widespread showers on Memorial Day. Looking at our forecast for the next four days and more on Monday, we will see temperatures a little cooler, but as you can see from the future forecast, widespread rain is expected throughout the day. It will slowly taper off. There could still be a few lingering showers as we approach Tuesday and Wednesday. NEXT WEEK WILL BE A LITTLE COOKER. JUST
