Several people were hospitalized after a traffic accident in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is at the scene of a multi-car accident.

CSFD was dispatched to a two-car accident at 200 Bl of Circle Dr on Sunday evening just before 5 p.m. sent. Our KRDO13 team on scene was told the accident was due to a head-on collision between a large SUV that was traveling on Circle Dr. was traveling northbound and a smaller SUV traveling southbound.

People from both vehicles were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. CSFD worked to extricate at least one person from a car at the scene.

CSFD is asking people who may be traveling in the area to avoid while they continue to work.
