The report provides new details about a police assault suspect identified as Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice

An incident report sheds new light on the alleged attack at a Dallas nightclub in which Dallas police believe Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was involved. According to the report, the victim left the nightclub around 1:30 a.m. after attending an after-hours party. At approximately 1:56 a.m., the suspect contacted the victim on Instagram and asked him to return to the club. When the victim returned there, the suspect asked him to look at his phone. While the victim was looking at the phone, the suspect reportedly punched him in the side of the face. A spokesman said the victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The names of the suspect and victim are redacted from the police report. However, ABC affiliate WFAA reports that Dallas police are investigating Rice over the incident. Rice still faces one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision causing serious bodily injury and six counts of collision causing injury following a hit-and-run accident in Dallas. A police affidavit said Rice was driving 119 miles per hour before the six-car crash. Rice turned himself in: “Mr. Rashee Rice turned himself in today and was released on bail,” attorney Royce West, who represents Rice, said in a statement. “I would like to reiterate Mr. Rice’s continued cooperation with law enforcement. Mr. Rice recognizes his actions and has deep sympathy for those injured as a result of this accident.
