Teacher accused of sexually abusing boy is said to have “laughed” when he mentioned age

A British teacher allegedly laughed off the concerns of a boy she accused of molesting when the teenager told her he was too young to drive to her home where the abuse took place, a British court has heard should.

Rebecca Joynes, 30, is facing trial on multiple counts of sexual activity with a child while acting as a person in a position of trust in Manchester, England, BBC, the Manchester Evening News And The times Report.

Joynes, a math teacher, allegedly told the 15-year-old boy, “Oh, shut up!” when he said he wasn’t old enough to drive her from her school to her home, according to testimony in court, per The times and BBC.

Joynes is accused of sexually abusing two underage boys – referred to in the lawsuit as “Boy A” and “Boy B” – whom authorities say she met during classes at her school Manchester Evening News Reports.

“Boy A” told authorities that Joynes bought him a designer bag worth 345 pounds ($432) before allegedly sexually abusing him, according to the BBC Manchester Evening News and local radio station LBC.

According to the BBC, Manchester authorities have also accused Joynes of becoming pregnant with “Boy B’s” baby Manchester Evening NewsLBC and The times.

Joynes allegedly became pregnant while out on bail for abusing “Boy A”, a jury heard, according to the BBC The times.

According to the media, Joynes denies the allegations.
