Northwood Pool closed due to drowning accident | News

NORTHWOOD, Iowa – Northwood Pool was closed Monday due to a drowning accident.

According to the Northwood Fire Department and Volunteer Emergency Services, emergency personnel were called to the pool at around 1:22 p.m. after a drowning was reported.

When emergency services arrived, rescuers said one person was pulled from the pool by lifeguards. Their condition is currently unknown.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
