Man found dead after shooting in northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon – A man is dead after a shooting in the Lloyd District early Sunday morning.

At approximately 6:02 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near Northeast 6th Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street. When they arrived, they found a man dead on the sidewalk.

No immediate arrests were made. Portland police said the suspect or suspects left the scene before officers arrived.

During the investigation, Northeast Holladay Street will be closed between Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast 7th Avenue. TriMet service on Northeast Holladay Street will also be affected.
