A second chance: Mike’s life-changing accident

After a drunk driver collided with his car, Mike suffered serious injuries and a difficult recovery. Despite the physical and emotional hurdles, he found strength in his family, friends and his own determination to carry on.

Mike’s story takes us through the immediate aftermath of the accident, the life-saving surgeries, and the supportive environment provided by his family, especially his mother. During his recovery, Mike reflects on the kindness of his peers and the lessons he has learned along the way. His narrative also delves into the importance of community and the unexpected paths life can take, including karaoke on a cruise ship and revisiting his memories of his college fraternity. This episode is a testament to human resilience and the power of positive thinking in the face of adversity.
