ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke police said an arrest has been made in the investigation of a shooting following an incident in northwest Roanoke on July 21.

According to RPD, police were called to the 3700 block of Frontage Road NW around 11:50 a.m. Sunday after receiving calls about a shooting. At the scene, officers spoke with two juveniles.


The first juvenile was charged with shootings in the city, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm as a juvenile.

No charges were filed against the second juvenile and he was released to his parents.

There are currently no reports of injuries and there is no current danger to the public.
