Oliver Springs police car involved in accident on Thursday – 3B Media News

An Oliver Springs Police Department patrol car was involved in an accident in downtown Oliver Springs on Thursday afternoon (July 18, 2024). Officer Steven Carroll collided with another vehicle at the four-stop sign intersection in downtown Oliver Springs, causing minor injuries to Carroll and also damaging the patrol car.
The accident occurred when the two cars collided head-on at the intersection.

The THP is investigating the accident and Police Chief David Laxton stated that the other driver, who was not immediately identified, was not injured but could face charges after being given a sobriety test at the scene. However, according to the chief, the officer was at fault for the accident.
