Woman killed, 2 others injured in 2-car shooting in south Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman is dead and two other people are hospitalized after a car-to-car shooting in south Phoenix on Wednesday.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of ​​Seventh Avenue and Alta Vista Road, south of Southern Avenue.

Investigators said people in two cars shot at each other.

A woman was taken to hospital where she later died.

The other two victims drove themselves to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

It is unclear what led to the shooting.

Alta Vista Road is closed during the police investigation.
