Kansas Amber Alert: Jaxon Halley kidnapped in Kansas City

UPDATE: Police confirm Jaxon was found unharmed. The Amber Alert has been lifted. The suspect is still at large.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Kansas and Missouri after 2-year-old Jaxon Halley was violently abducted in the Kansas City area, local authorities say. The suspect’s last known whereabouts were on the Missouri side.

The incident began around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when Jaxon and his mother were abducted at gunpoint from their Kansas City, Kansas, home during a domestic incident, the Amber Alert said.

“The child and mother were driven to Missouri, where the mother escaped the suspect at approximately 3:28 p.m.,” police said. “However, the suspect detained Jaxon Halley and fled in an unknown direction.”

The suspect, 39-year-old Darryl Livingston Jr., is accused of threatening to kill the woman and her child, which is why authorities believe Jaxon is in immediate danger.

Livingston is described as a 39-year-old black man with black hair and brown eyes, 5’8″ tall and 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored pink, purple and white basketball jersey and black jean shorts.

The suspect and the child are believed to be traveling in a silver KIA Forte (model year 2016) with the license plate 018JA6, which may also have a temporary license plate from Missouri.

Anyone who sees Jaxon, Livingston or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately or call the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department at 913-596-3000 if you have any additional information that could help investigators.
