1 dead and 1 injured in shooting in Marshall

MARSHALL, Texas – One person is dead and another injured in a shooting Tuesday morning in Marshall.

According to the Marshall Police DepartmentThe shooting occurred in the area of ​​Lafayette and East Grand Ave. Police say two people were shot, one fatally. The other victim is recovering at a local hospital.

The MPD says the shooting is currently under investigation and one person has already been taken into custody.

“We are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist us in this investigation,” the MPD said. “Your help can provide critical details that will lead to understanding and solving this tragic event.”
