Former USC wide receiver and current Minnesota Vikings Jordan Addison faces drunken driving charges after authorities say he was found asleep behind the wheel of a car near Los Angeles International Airport.

California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the westbound North Sepulveda Boulevard ramp of Interstate 105 shortly after 11 p.m. Friday because a vehicle was blocking lanes, the CHP confirmed to the National Football League.

Officers found Addison, 22, asleep behind the wheel of a white Rolls-Royce, CHP said. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, booked and released from custody around 1:30 a.m.

Addison played one season at USC after transferring from the University of Pittsburgh. He caught eight touchdown passes for 875 yards and was named an All-Pac-12 first-team selection.

Addison was selected by the Vikings as the number 23 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he had 70 pass catches for 911 receiving yards and ten touchdowns.

“We are aware of the arrest of Jordan Addison last Friday and are currently gathering additional information regarding the incident,” the Vikings said in a statement.

According to NFL.com, this is the second consecutive offseason that Addison has had a legal problem on the road. In July 2023, he was cited by the Minnesota State Patrol for speeding and reckless driving for driving 140 mph in a 55 mph zone.
