New registrations continue to exceed 2023 levels

New listings exceeded 2023 volumes for the fifth consecutive week in Houston, according to the latest weekly activity snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Real estate agents listed 3,736 properties in the MLS during the week ended May 6. This represents a 16.1% year-over-year increase.

At the same time, closings also saw strong gains over 2023 volumes. Closings increased 28.2% annually, with 2,363 homes sold, up from 1,842 a year earlier. Pending registrations, however, decreased by 2.3%.
