Dustin Lomas caught: Second teen who escaped from Abraxas Academy arrested in Falls Township

NEW MORGAN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – The second teenager who escaped from a Berks County juvenile detention center over the weekend was arrested Wednesday evening.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, 16-year-old Dustin Lomas was found in a stolen vehicle when he was arrested by officers from the Falls Twp. Police Department.

Earlier this week, police arrested 18-year-old Tyler Lutz of Reading after he was spotted by a Tullytown District Police officer.

Lutz was at a local fair and tried to mingle with the fairground workers, state police said.

Both teenagers escaped from Abraxas Academy in New Morgan Borough on Saturday night.

Further details about the teenagers’ escape were not disclosed.

Last September, nine youths escaped from the youth detention center, but were all taken back into custody after a ten-hour search.
