Albany police investigate robbery on Grant Avenue

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — Albany police are investigating a robbery that occurred Sunday morning in the area of ​​Grant Avenue and Hunter Avenue. Officers said they arrived in the area around 2:40 a.m. following reports of the robbery.

Police reported that when they arrived at the scene, they found a 31-year-old man with a severe laceration to his neck. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition, according to police.


Through investigation, police learned that a large gathering of people had gathered at a house on Grant Avenue, which led to a fight. The suspect allegedly threw a glass bottle at the victim.

Two hours later, police received a report from Albany Medical Center Hospital that a 19-year-old man had also been admitted to the emergency room with an elbow injury. Police determined that the victim had also been assaulted during the incident on Grant Avenue.
